Imsanity and Kraken Image Optimizer

    Hi Jason,

    I am using Imsanity and i truly find it the best plugin of its kind. Extremely satisfied and highly recommended to anyone.

    I have a question. Would you find any advantage of using Imsanity together with Kraken Image Optimizer plugin: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/kraken-image-optimizer

    Imsanity plugin is extremely fast but when i also enable Kraken Image Optimizer plugin it certainly adds considerable time before the image is ready. Do you think Kraken can make a big difference in comparison to Imsanity when it comes to image optimization and Google’s website search ranking? That is in optimizing images to comply with Google’s Pagespeed analyzing tool.

    Finally, does Imsanity remove metadata in the form of EXIF elements?

    I’m not 100% sure what Kraken does, but Imsanity only works on the original image for the purposes of images that are way to big to be useful – for purposes of not wasting disk space. I’d assume Kraken creates high-quality “additional” images. In which case it alone doesn’t save you disk space, but perhaps gives you better quality images?

    I really don’t know for sure though – I don’t use Kraken.
