    Hello Yannick,

    Thanks for the plugin which is excellent and does a good work.

    I have installed it and it works properly on my website except for the HomePage. On every pages I have the link displayed properly but on my HP it is like the function is not working. I have filled every blanks in the backoffice for the page but it doesn’t do anyting.

    Have you already been through such issue?

    This is my code on the helper-main-menu.php :

    { echo “<div id=’test2′>”; echo the_bilingual_link();
    echo ” +33 XXXXXX</div>”;
    }

    Thank you for your support.

    In the admin, when you say that you have filled every blank, does that mean that you have also checked all of the check boxes below the text fields?

    If you check ‘Hide on front page’, then the menu item will not appear on the front page.

    If it’s not checked, I will have to investigate further.

    No I did not filled the blanks that says Hide on home page.

    The link does appear on the homepage but the link is is blank. There is English written but no link when hovering it. On the other pages, everything works fine.

    I just published a new version which I think will address this issue. At least it did in my testing. Please upgrade and see if this resolves the problem.

    Hi Yannick,

    Sorry for being late (I was on vacation).

    Unfortunatly the update did not resolve the issue but I found a way to get around it by setting a default translation URL which works well right now.

    I thank you very much for your effort and your support.
    I can mark the topic as resolved if you agree.

    Hi Jeremy, you mean you did not have a default translation URl set before? If that was the case, then of course the plugin would not have displayed anything on the home page.

    Yes, this can be marked as resolved.

    Yes that is the case. So I still do not understand why it would not work if there is no dafault translation URL but whatever 🙂

    Thank you again for your help

    On many sites, the home page is a special page listing posts, and not a user-created page. Therefore, the code for Bilingual Linker currently assumes that it will not have an associated translation link and will therefore need the default translation URL to be set.

    Now, that being said, if you assign a page to the front page, then I should use the translation URL provided on that page. I will look at making that change in an update.

    I just pushed a new version that will use the translation URL provided in the post editor for the front page if it’s configured to display a page instead of showing a list of posts. It is version 2.2.2.

    Hi Yannick,

    Yes, thank you, I will upgrade it.

    Speaking about your plugin, I have been through an another issue lately. The translation URL provided in the post editor doesn’t integrate on the news page. Since it is a special page that changes every time there is a new news, there may be an issue because of that.
    What do you thinkg about that?

    Thank you again.
