Hi. I bought the data editor extension because I need to allow a few users to edit data on a page (using the shortcode to add a data table to a page). I added edit=”true” to the shortcode and then the table seemed to be editable, but when I hit ‘OK’ the cell showed up as blank! Back in the back end it did not show any change at all. If I edit the table in the back end, it works fine. But this is important – I need to be able to edit on the page too.

I also tried to change edit=”true” to edit=”cells”, but the result was the same. Can you help?

    Thanks!

Just to add to the above, when I try to edit a cell on a page, the cell shows as blank. But if I go in to edit the page, do nothing to it and go back to view the page, the original data is back in the cell (not my edited data). The only way to make the edit stick is to edit from the back end (admin page) which is not gonna work in my situation.

OK, I sorta figured this out… it’s an https problem. The edits will hold if I change “http” to “https” in the address bar. I have had similar problems with other plugins. It’s my server. Not a good solution, but not your fault. You designed a wonderful useful plugin!!
