    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: set_prefix() in sitename path/wp-settings.php on line 209

    here’s line 209:

    $prefix = $wpdb->set_prefix($table_prefix);

  • The set_prefix method is new in WordPress 2.5, so it sounds like not all of your WordPress files got uploaded correctly, specifically wp-includes/wp-db.php. Try uploading your 2.5 again.

    the file wp-includes\js\tinymce_mce_gzip.php will not load by http://ftp…why and how should this be corrected

    txfishhunt, you don’t need tinymce_gzip.php, as it was accidentally left in the release (it’s empty, which is probably why your FTP client won’t upload it).

    i had same error.

    steps above do not provide solution.

    i copied the latest wp-db.php over and it didnt work. i upgraded from 2.3 to 2.5.

    please reply with fix. thanks.

    my opinion….2.3 is a more robust version…use it until 2.6 arrives.
