2.5 – it eats my Amazon links!

  • I just upgraded to 2.5, and it completely removed that Amazon text/photo boxed link I had in my latest post!

I tried adding it back in, but it just removed it again!

    Any idea what’s up?

  • I have a similar problem with Amazon links like this:
    <iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=tuahufodiguam-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=0750656948&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr&nou=1" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

I’m afraid to open posts with the visual editor to update them as they seem to randomly ‘clean-out’ the embedded amazon links.

You are correct to fear the “visual editor”. This seems to be what was wiping out my Amazon.com affiliate widget codes. You can disable this under your user account. I recommend you do this.

Oh I forgot to mention that I also enclose the <iframe> code in <div> tags and use a CSS class or ID or an explicit style="float:left" setting to get the text to wrap around the image.
