I guess I'm late to the game, but I use Word Press to maintain a number of neighborhood news sites. I make changes every day, and the new widget interface annoyingly encumbers changes. For instance, I use two sidebars - the old interface displayed both at the same time. The new requires extra clicking from one sidebar to the other. Very time consuming when you're changing six or seven sites.
The method of entering images into posts is also much more difficult. There is no method that I see to automatically put a thumbnail into the post with a link to the full sized image. The dialog box has check boxes for setting image alignment, but so far as I can see, it doesn't work. I have to go into the post and manually set the alignment anyway.
The old version performed these items much better.
