• I do not find any other post on this and think this is a bug (checked in two web browers). The shortcode for placing a form currently shows:

    [contact-form-7 id=

Where it should also display the id and title of the form. Already tried deactivating and reactivating to no avail. I think the problem is in the underlying HTML which looks something like

    <input type="text" ]"="" title="Aanmelding Practitioner Lumen" 4921"="" value="[contact-form-7 id=" class="large-text code" readonly="readonly" onfocus="this.select();" id="wpcf7-shortcode">

Of course one can fetch the id and title from there, but nevertheless.

Checke wirth Firefox 39.0.3 and Chrome 44.0.2403.155 m

Thanks for the good work. Keep it up 🙂

    Cheers,
    John

What theme and other plugins do you use?

I am using the Aegaeus theme. Other active plugins are:
    WP Topbar
    Simple Twotter Tweets
    Shareaholic
    Really Simple Captcha
    Popups – WordPress Popup
    Mailchimp for WordPress lite
    Facebook Conversion Pixel
    BOL Partner plugin for WordPress

It has been working in the current configuration until recently. I have already disabled all plugins, but that changes nothing.

Even if I can retrieve the id en title of the form from the source code as pasted above, any help/solution is applreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

Try switching to the default theme (twentyfifteen).

I noticed you cannot use special signs (@ & …) or accented letters (é ë …) in the name of a form.

Hmm, weird. As soon as I switch to the default theme twentyfifteen, it is working again. As switching the theme currently is not an option (and as it did work until recently) do you have a suggestion on how to solve this?

Thanks for your help and support sofar.

    Thanks,

This behavior signals that the current theme has a super giant security hole affecting the whole site, not only the shortcode display issue. You should definitely switch to another theme right now.
