Not sure I was clear on my question.
There is section on the SKT Black Home page right above the footer which has a page # and social icons. The section can be found in Appearance > Theme Options under Social Section tab. I removed all of the default listed Social Title. However, there is still a gap or dead space on the page. How can I remove the extra space?
Yes because its div is still there.

I’m struggling to find the DIV. If you set the div you don’t want to display:none; it won’t take any space on the page. That may fix it. Do you know how to do that?

I’m a newbie and I was hoping someone would point me to the php page name or is this a the css page. The only place I know that I can do any editing is under Editor where the Templates and Sytle pages are listed on the right. So if I understand, would you be able to tell me if it’s a Template or Style page I’m looking for and then I would set the div to display none?
One other thing I hope you can help with is the bottom ribbon. I like the company info that displays but want to remove the Recent Posts section. How can I do that?

So, at this point, I am unclear where you think it’s causing the extra space. Can you do 2 things, check incognito in Chrome or a private window in Firefox to see if you still see the space.
Then, take a screenshot of the problem and post it here. The other option would be to “turn on” the social section again so I can sort out where the div is in the page so I can give you CSS you can use to hide it.
Beyond that, I’d need to get into your theme and tinker with it to see where it is. This is not something that you’ll be able to access in the editor, though you maybe able to turn it on/off in the customizer.

Hi Erica,
I can’t seem to be able to copy and paste the screen shot in incognito window in Chrome, what am I missing. Just as a note, it looks the same as it does in regular Chrome as well as in IE and Firefox. The space is a little larger than the section above that has the “Contact Us” box below the text of “Didn’t See Exactly…..” I restored default settings and lost all my work as all the Theme Options tabs also reset. I do see that even with the default settings there is what to me looks like a larger than expected space between the section above and the Social Section that has a heading of We Are Everywhere. Again I cannot seem to post the screenshot for you to see

Hmm, well at this point, I’m not seeing recent posts on the page. I can at least find the social section now. So, once you get your content back in you’ll need to add a snippet of CSS to the site. I’ll just hide the DIV that was causing the extra space.
It appears that may not break any additional bits in the theme. If the theme author swings back through it would be nice to see more classes in your theme so things like this can easily be hidden.
So, after you get your content back in, ping me. You’ll need to add either Jetpack so you can use custom CSS or you can look for a basic plugin that allows you to use a stylesheet.

Erica, I posted a new question under Static Home Page as I now have two issues. It seems both are only on the HOME page and not my other pages. I think there is something I’m missing about the Home page I’ve created and customizations I’ve made.
