    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The settings for these features are located below the table input fields on the “Edit” screen of your table.
The search feature is turned on by default, so that it might be possible that something (your theme or another plugin) is interfering.
Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

Sorry Tobias – turns out it was just a glitch I guess – since i posted over 3,000 items in my list, it glitches and won’t allow me to see any of the settings after I do so. I was able to work around it by creating the list, setting up the headings correctly, and then importing the content.

But, I do have two other questions now if you don’t mind –

    1. Would it be possible to somehow extract the code for the search box, so that I can place the search box on a different page and then people type in the search, and then the page with the list loads with their search already loaded?

    2. Is it possible to make the entries linkable – I would like all of them to link to the exact same place, but I just need it so that when someone searches and finds the correct entry on the list, they can click on it to be taken to another landing page.

    Hi,

good to hear that the search works now! 🙂

    For your other questions:

    1. Yes, this is possible with two TablePress Extension. For examples on that, please take a look at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-box-in-an-other-page

    2. Yes, you can simply create hyperlinks in the table, via the “Insert Link” button on the “Edit” screen. If your cells contain URLs right now that you want to make clickable, you could take a look at https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/

Great thanks. I will take a look at that search post

For the links is there another way to do it? a file i can edit somewhere? Because I have over 3000 list entries and need just the same link for all of them.

    Hi,

no, the data is stored in the database.

If all entries shall get the same link, you could maybe add it programmatically, e.g. with a macro in Excel (create the HTML code there) and than re-import, or by using custom PHP programming that uses the available plugin filter hooks and modifies the table output.

    Regards,
    Tobias
