• BUYER BEWARE:
I’m an IT professional that is 54 years old and has been an IT consultant my whole life. I’ve never experienced a worse company in my life in terms of handling a customer request for a refund. It was an AMAZING example if a Rube Goldberg machine of circular logic that went nowhere, except to our TOS says no — Lord have mercy upon me and stop the torture.
I was using the free theme and installed an update (BEWARE) when critical elements stopped working. I panicked because the day was about to start on a live site so I download the PAID version thinking that would fix things. Wrong. Both had the same bug which I discovered in their support forum after downloading it, posted by many people, including myself. I quickly hacked the site by disabling features and hand coding things that were done by the theme. Yuck. I NEVER INSTALLED THE PAID THEME. When I asked for a refund…let’s just say I’m still emailing after about 10+ messages to/from their support person. Comments on their forum mysteriously filter anything I post as spam (?). And I noticed that 100% of their testimonials are 100% positive. The company is just awful and I would not trust them. Customer service is an abomination and theme updates will CRASH YOUR SITE. Thus far, it has been THREE DAYS and the bug fixes are not out yet they think that’s just fine for a live site to wait. They “released” a supposed bug fix two days later but forum posts say the bug is still there, and still no refund. DON’T BUY WHAT THEY SAY…SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND ANGUISH AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.

  • Dear Stuart, let me comment only the IMPORTANT part of your review, the rest are only a rude empty words:

Both had the same bug which I discovered in their support forum after downloading it, posted by many people, including myself.

You are still refering to many people threads but didn’t post one URL, which ones please?

I NEVER INSTALLED THE PAID THEME.

You are still saying it’s broken, then how do you know it when you never installed it? Seriously? Do you know what you are writting?

When I asked for a refund…let’s just say I’m still emailing after about 10+ messages to/from their support person.

There was exactly 6 emails from your side, so 10+ number is only a lie 🙂

Comments on their forum mysteriously filter anything I post as spam (?).

here is your thread https://theme4press.com/support/topic/content-boxes-are-not-updating-have-default-content-and-cannot-change/ visible to anyone, no filtered 😉

And I noticed that 100% of their testimonials are 100% positive.

Which company will publish on their website negative comments, come on, seriously??? We have negative comments also, here on wp.org, it’s normal 😉

the bug fix was done by 5. August as per our changelog, https://theme4press.com/evolve-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/ so it was available in the day you posted your thread

Be aware of this person as a buyer or a seller, he is a NON-COOPERATIVE RUDE person who doesn’t provide real arguments, he is refusing to accept real solutions and probably he is making a business in this way. have a nice day ;).

    NOT TRUE.
It is still not released for the free version and there are still posts on your support forum stating the the supposed released fix did not fix the problem.

Comments on their forum mysteriously filter anything I post as spam (?).

You don’t see any further comments from me because I’m not allowed to post any…evidently. No clue why. Everything I post NOW is just blocked with a Spam message.

I’m no longer arguing with you because you because I may as well be arguing with a head of lettuce. It’s obvious that your dishonest corporate policy is to make it impossible to get a refund, for whatever reason.

You are nothing but thieves and criminals.

    Good luck with your business.

I’m glad to read that. Now as this back and forth isn’t productive and the name calling really is going to far, I’m closing this review.
