    Hi,

I have the link “Register” and “Login” on my site. The problem is that after logging in the link “Register” turns into “Site Admin”, which is a little confusing for the authors. Anyone an idea where I can change it so it would disappear or says “Your profile” or something?

Besides, after logging in it automatically transfers the user to the homepage. I would like to transfer the user to his/her profile site. Where can I change that? 🙂

    Thank you,

  • Register should only be used to create accounts. If a person already has an account, then they should click “login”. Once they are logged in, then they see Site Admin as a link to take them back to the admin area.

He means that he wants to change the term “Site admin” to something like “profile” or “dashboard”.

I’m trying to find out how to do this as well… if someone could help us!

Yeah, Malice is right. “Site admin” makes sense for my account, the admin account, but some authors might get confused.

I figured if I just changed “Site admin” to another term somewhere in one of those .php files It would be fixed. Then again, I need to know which one has the term in the code.

I don’t think that is default behavior. Do you have a redirect plugin or another modification that is causing it? I think normally after login, a user is taken to the “Dashboard” area where they can access their profile.

There might be some ideas or inspiration located in the info here as well.

Thanks Clayton James. The link helped and worked 🙂

About the other thing you are right! It usually does bring the user to the dashboard after logging in. I just figured out that this redirection to the homepage only happens after the first login after clicking on the activation link. But I think especially the first time it is very confusing for the author to land on the homepage after logging in. Any ideas what that could be?

    Thanks!
