Hi there, any feedback on how to make the Post Types Selection to show? It’s not giving me a selection to choose from…

I had a similar problem because I didn’t understand the plugin only works with custom post types. You can’t use it with the standard Posts that that come stock with WordPress.

I noticed that too, this is very unfortunate. It looked like something I could definately use but alas…

    Hi guys,

Apologies for the delayed response to you all. I’ve been on vacation and attempted to stay disconnected from the web 🙂

Yes the plugin only works with custom post types at this stage. There’s more info on why that is here https://wordpress.org/plugins/beautiful-taxonomy-filters/faq/ under the headline “Why aren’t the builtin post types supported?”.

It’s not something one whips up in a jiffy I’m afraid. I do hope to support these in the future tho!

    Hello!!!

    Hi Hochusprosit,

It’s explained quite well in the FAQ as linked above.
If you’re willing to pay me for the hours it’d take to implement I’d be more than happy to “update this mistake”.
Otherwise I suggest you try a friendlier tone if you want people to develop free code for you.

    Hi Jonathandejong,

That was russian humor like british humor if u understand what i trying to say.

Hope, many people ask u about this standard Posts…

you plugin name “Beautiful taxonomy filters”

not “Beautiful taxonomy filters for custom posts”

if people saw it, the don’t bother u about it.

    Peace!

    Okay,
You see so many strange people here sometimes (check the 1 star review for BTF for example) so it’s hard to tell joke from real 🙂

The information about custom post types are in the main information line inside the banner as well as in the description (and on FAQ page) so I think there’s plenty of places one can find that if you take a second to read. The name is short and easy to remember and it would cause troubles when I do add support for the native post type.

    Thank you, i got it.

Have a nice day and be healthy!
