Support » Plugin: WP Advanced Importer » Doesn't work… again

  • New fresh WP 4.2.3 installation.
List of plugins: Akismet, Tiny MCE Advanced, Types (all last versions).

Install the plugin, try to import a regular .xml export with standard posts and pages.

The First message from the Import screen (Logs):

Warning: Illegal offset type in C:\wamp\www\genesis\wp-content\plugins\wp-advanced-importer\includes\WPAdvImporter_includes_helper.php on line 643

This is the first thing I get from the very plugin screen.

The second message from the “Logs” is:

“The user – “xxxxxxx” – has been created.”

Since the plugin gave me the option in the first place, I specifically told the plugin to assign every imported post/page to an existing user. Why is this happening then?

Then it starts importing, but with every file there’s a message saying:

“Atomic Race – Doubledeck 3.0 Ramp Tech – SkiReviewer is already exist”

The item that “is already exist” (brilliant expression) is an image that of course doesn’t “already exist” because this is a new empty WordPress installation.

This happens with every single post and page.

Next, time for several “is already exist” messages with no other information rather than this enigmatic weird expression. No clue on what those messages are talking about.

And then, the Grand Finale: WP Advanced Importer Plugin says “Import Complete”. But it hasn’t imported ANYTHING. Not a single byte.

Now, I think you have enough 1-star reviews, so I’ll wait.
I know this is a free plugin etc, but this can’t continue. You’re supposed to be a Company with serious Premium/Commercial products. How can users trust you?
