hmm would there be anyway we can make it show any quotes besides Simpsons? I would love to have a Buffy quote plugin, but know nothing about php
You can use the witty text plugin to get random quotes of any kind, you just have to change the text file it pulls from.

It would be very easy to make it work for other TV shows, im infact going to slightly mod it before i release it.
I’ve found a site that has Quotes, but also has the Audio clips of each quote! so im going to knock it up to play the quote and display the text 😀
I need to get more quotes for this basic simpsons one tho…
I already use the Witty-Text plugin, but would love to incorporate images for each quote, like you have with this plugin! I look forward to being able to download it 🙂

I have a bunch of simpsons psd’s that I resized. I will be adding a bunch of quotes to this from more characters (from groundskeeper willy, to Mr. Burn, Smithers, Police Chief Wiggim, Ned Flanders, Rod and Todd, Grandpa, Apu, Principal Skinner, Side Show Bob, Nelson etc… )
I will be doing that this weekend. 🙂 I will post back when I am completed.
Cool plugin. Unfortunately, I found that it interfered with the Hello Dolly plugin. That plugin displays quotes from Hello Dolly when you are in admin mode. I saw the simpsons quotes instead. So, I disabled the Hello Dolly plugin because yours is better for the users of the blog.

Yes, really great and funny plugin, but…
I randomly get this error, probably because a poor performance on the server:

Cant Find quotes File
On line 45 of simpsons.php, I can see:
$quoteFile = fopen(“”.get_settings(‘siteurl’).”/wp-content/plugins/qSimpsons/quotes.txt”, “r”) or DIE(“Cant Find quotes File”) ;
Probelm is that the page is not loaded at all, which is very annoying.
My question is: is there a way to workaround this, increasing timeout, or something similar ?
My knowledge is poor, I have no idea if this is possible.
