• Hiya!

I’m running on WP 1.5 and I was wondering if anyone’s created a hack that forces users to manually register before they can post comments. So as to prevent all of this gambling and Hold’Em ads from being posted as comments. I saw something similar in this thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic.php?id=1325 but I don’t think that’s for 1.5. Thanks. 🙂

    anyone?

I don’t understand. There is an option built in to 1.5 that says that already. On the Options/General page, it says Users must be registered and logged in to comment.

Yea, check the options next time, it’s right there =P

It doesn’t show that on mine, though :/

Like, I don’t want them to just fill out name and email, I want them to actually register. I can’t find that option anywhere…

    (BTW sry 4 double post)

When you log into your admin panel (1.5 Strayhorn), click on options and it should be there on the first page, General Options. There should be a section entitled Membership and there should be two check boxes. One for “Anyone can Register” and one for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.

    I had to re-upgrade, though….. :/
