Hi, I had already seen that page. That’s what I was referring to. but what you said to try only showed how to do it with a link, not how to trigger it with a button.

How do you add the code as a class? Trying the example did not work for me.

Can you show me your button code?

The mailmunch code? I have that.

The buttons I’ve made are made using a shortcode. Here’s the basic button shortcode (though it will be slightly different after customization): [button href=”” style=”emboss” size=”medium”]SAVE MY SPOT![/button]. I don’t think that’s what you meant though. So, please clarify for me which code you want. Thx.

Your button short-code does not include the class=”mailmunch-pop-xxx” as mentioned in the instructions. Can you try to change it to:

    [button href=”” style=”emboss” size=”medium” class=”mailmunch-pop-xxx”]SAVE MY SPOT![/button]

Change XXX to your form ID.

    Hi again,

I realize the button code I replied with earlier didn’t have the mailmunch info yet. That was intentional, so I could start from scratch with your assistance.

Okay, so the way you’ve just shown me in the example looked promising and made more sense. thx. However, it’s still not working. Here’s what my button code looks like now:
    [button href=”” style=”emboss” size=”medium” class=”mailmunch-pop-xxxxxx”]SAVE MY SPOT![/button]

I put that in, and previewed it to test. When I click the button, it just zooms to the top of the page and doesn’t do anything else, just like my previous attempts. So, I updated the page, and tried again, same result.

Let me start from scratch again, and please tell me if I’m correct or incorrect, ’cause I have no idea at this time…

    1. Create a pop-over form, and save it. (I’m assuming it has to be a pop-out form for this to work, right, or wrong?)
    2. Leave all of the boxes unchecked, since I don’t want it popping out except when triggered by button click.
    3. Copy the pop-out form’s code.
    4. Add that class parameter to my button code. (ex: [button href=”” style=”emboss” size=”medium” class=”mailmunch-pop-xxx”]SAVE MY SPOT![/button]
    5. Test it by previewing page, or saving page and then viewing and clicking the button.

That order seems logical to me, but is not working, so please tell me where I’m going wrong.

Can I have a link to the page where you added the button?

It’s not yet public. I wish there was an option to make a reply private here. I could email it to you if you have a support email address. (If so, I’ll make the page public just for this purpose.) Would that work for you?

Yes, please email us at support [at] mailmunch.co
