That’s odd that you’ve run this setup before and got it working on Bluehost. As a rule, Bluehost firewalls out all external connections. That was one of the reasons I created this plugin.

The setup I always recommend for Bluehost is use the Gmail API, or use the server called mail.yourdomain.com with a Bluehost-managed email account.

I actually had a chat with Bluehost tech support about how to auto-detect when Postman is installed there and setup the correct server, I’ll implement that one day.

Thanks for your quick response! I could be losing it but I swear it worked with other BlueHost accounts. But don’t take my word for it.

So, what’s the best way to go about this? Should I installed the other plugin you linked to as well?

There are only two options for Bluehost that I’m aware of:

    • Use the Gmail API, or
    • Use the server called mail.yourdomain.com with a Bluehost-managed email account.

Thank you, I got it to work using the Gmail API. I’ll mark this as resolved now.
