• I am using Recent Posts plugin at my WordPress blog.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/recent-posts/

Yesterday my blog was inaccessible. I was able to login into admin area and disable all plugins. I reactived them one by one and found out that the problem was with this plugin. Activating it blocked the access to my blog.

I had this very same problem with the same plugin once before almost exactly a month ago. That time I was able to solve it by upgrading WordPress to the latest version. That didn’t, however, work this time.

I looked for other plugins doing the same thing but unfortunately they are not suitable for my needs. I have the same plugin twice at my front page with different settings. That is possible with this plugin as the configuration is made by inserting parametres in the code. The other plugins seem to have a separate config page at the admin area and that makes it impossible to have two different configurations to the plugin display.

Now I have the plugin disabled but I would like to get it back.

In case it would have any relevance, I give a brief description on how I was using the plugin.

Six newest post are shown at the home page of my blog. Titles of the next 44 are shown in the end of page with Recent Posts plugin. They are in two columns: first one has posts from 7th to 28th and the second from 29th to 50th. That’s why the plugin appears twice.

There seems to be a conflict with Recent Posts and WP-Cache plugins. Disabling the latter made the blog work again.

I tried to install WP Super Cache but couldn’t make it work. Perhaps there is a conflict with that, too (not sure yet).
