The most likely issue is the webserver can’t connect to the internet or is unable to connect securely. If you have error logs on the server, check them for more detailed information as to what has failed.

Thanks Tara…Other sites on the same server are all working fine. As a matter of face the parent site http://www.estymol.com is a powered by wordpress and its fine. So what could be the issue here. Cos it has affected every save function of wordpress.

Well the plan was to ignore you at first but i would just let you know that am not here to disparage anyone so please dont start any fire when there is none. I just voiced my frustration doesn’t mean u have to start sending me lame links to your site to pay you?

I have exactly the same problem, run several sites on WordPress and all are working fine, except one where this error keeps coming up. Thank you for your input tbennettcc, I totally agree with you! Hopefully, there will someone out there who has come across this problem before. I’m also in contact with my host who are trying to figure out what’s gone wrong, too. Fingers crossed.

Well my site is back and working fine…error gone.
Solution : did a fresh install of wordpress and made sure no firewall was blocking my connection to wordpress.org.

Hi, thanks Tara, I got to the root of the problem in the end with the help of my host. The .htaccess file was corrupted. A fresh install of WordPress should sort it out. Thanks for your help.
