This is strange. So, I’ve been using this plugin to display all of our books. It works great to display the description!

I recently added our newest five books but the very last one (which is first on the page) will not display the title or description. Strange, no? I have checked and rechecked the html and the image.

    Check it out.

Is there a limit, perhaps? It is exactly image 160.

Hi, SLB has no limit on the amount of images it can display. The final book on that page (“Semi-Colon”) displays properly in the lightbox. Clearing your browser’s cache may help to load an updated version of your page.

If you are still experiencing an issue, please provide further details, such as the browser you are using.

The final book I uploaded is the first book on the page. It’s the first book, Wandering West.

It appears that WordPress is not able to access the title/description info from the media library for that image. I would recommend deleting and reuploading that image to WordPress’ media library.

Renaming the file before uploading will also help to ensure that WordPress does not use any stale data for the image.

This is strange. I uploaded a new one, different image name. The title is showing. Yippee! But the description still is not. So, I guess it has something to do with the wordpress. Or the cover. It hates the cover. lol

Strange indeed. Here are a couple things you can do to narrow down the cause of the issue:

    • Move the image to a different position on the page
    • Upload an additional image and add it to the page

Let me know when you’ve updated the page and I’ll take another look.

I changed positions with another contemporary. Wander West is further down in the middle and still does not show the description. I put the one that had been there in the new slot and it shows title and description as it had before.

I added a brand new image in the same slot and again – no description. There seems to be a limit or something, imposed by WordPress?

It may be a memory issue. I’ll test to see if there’s anything that can be done on SLB’s end and update this thread if I find anything.

    The plot thickens!

I don’t think it’s the memory because I have been using the nextpage tag for this page.

I added a new row of books to test it out. I use tables on this page and added a new top row and five new books. Guess what? It’s working again and the book that previously was not showing the title and description is now displaying properly.

But – the new first book in the new first row has the same issue.

So, It guess it’s not a big deal because eventually it will display. I wonder if it has to do with the new WordPress update that just took place? Either way, no big deal. It has semi-resolved itself.

Interesting, looks like the first image in the list is the only one not getting the title/description data from WP’s media library.

Thanks for the additional info. I am looking into this.
