Hey there michaelpfaff,
Hope you’re well today 🙂
The easiest way to do this would be to simply replace the text on those buttons with “Post Update” which can be done by using plugin translation files.
You’ll find more info on how to use translation files by following this link: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-plugin/
If you have additional question regarding translation please let me know and I’ll be happy to help 🙂
Cheers,
Bojan
Bojan, thanks for that tip, but it’s a little more advanced than I was hoping. Is there a way to override the text through my functions.php file? If not, which file contains the Post Update / Add Link / Etc. data in the plugin? I can just manually change it (though, I guess I’ll have to do that each time the plugin is updated).
Hey again michaelpfaff,
In my opinion using translation files is much easier then editing plugin templates or adding code to functions.php.
I’ve been trying to look for an easier way to do this and I’ve found the following plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/real-time-find-and-replace/. Which allows you to replace text on your site.
Once you install and activate the plugin you can find it in Tools -> Real-Time Find and Replace where you can add words you’d like to change, see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/BwahprQh.
I’ve tested it with button text and it works, please make sure to use the capital A in Add or otherwise it will not work, tested on my site and everything worked fine http://screencast.com/t/qlTSqW8y.
Have a great weekend 🙂
Cheers,
Bojan
Bojan, you’re a genius! That worked great! Awesome find!
