Jquery newsticker issue

Hey guys so Ive been working on this site for a while and its practically done, the only problem I seem to have now is that when you first get on any of the pages with the news ticker the first and second links overlap but as soon as you hit next article it goes back to normal. Then after another page refresh its back to the first article overlapping. I’m certain that the jquery is correct because it works fine on a flat website. But in wordpress it just doesnt seem to like it. The link to the site is here:
