xmlrpc.php in WordPress

    Is the file included in a standard installation of WordPress? I used Softaculous to do the installing, and there is no xmlrpc.php file to be found anywhere in the directory.

    Yes, the file is included with WordPress standard. I don’t know why Softaculous is excluding it, especially since the file is required by several apps and web services, and it’s just as secure as whatever password you chose for your user.

    Try downloading WordPress again, then access your server via FTP or SFTP and upload the xmlrpc.php file from the download to the same directory as your existing wp-login.php file.
