My site has been hacked. Restore did not exactly work.

    Hi,

    Whether a restore would get rid of malware depends on where the hackers put the malware, and also whether the malware was injected before or after the backup that was restored. To get a completely clean site, you’d want to clean out 100% of files from your webspace, install WordPress and UpdraftPlus afresh, upload your known-clean backup (make sure you’ve got a copy of that before you wipe anything, of course…), and then restore it from there.
