Info: did the test.php as suggested and have this info – Array ( [platform] => Macintosh [browser] => Safari [version] => 6.1.6 ). My WP site is on PHP v. 5.4.42. Not sure what eAcclerator is so not sure if that is running.

In the plug in page of WP admin for my site, I have attempted to install this plug as normal. It hangs up or sometimes just goes to 500 error. When I access the page again it does not show the plugin installed. So I downloaded the zip, uploaded the plugin and it takes a while but it will go to the installing page. Then it stalls out to a 500 error. I go back to plugins and it is not listed in all plugins list. I look on my server and there is a WP Statistics folder created with all the files from the zip in the main plugins folder but still not listed in the plugins page under all plugins. I have downloaded other plugins and installed them as normal, they work but not this one. I do not get a Fatal Error like another user has so I don’t have any messages saying why it’s not listed in all plugins.

Not sure what to do next. I use Godaddy so if I need to ask them to upgrade my PHP version please point to the right page to do that.

Looking forward to using this one, looks great.

You mean the files from the zip are in the main plugins folder and not under the wp-statistics folder?

Sorry I mean after uploading the zip, the plug in folder is in the right place. …wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics. All the plugin files in the wp-statistics are unpacked in that wp-statistics folder like normal. In the WP admin under Plugins, wp-statistics is not listed under “all”. So cannot see it to activate.

I just deleted the wp-statistics folder from the plugins folder on the server. I log out and log back (bypassed cache) in to my WP site then attempted to install through the plugins page, then get a 500 internal error and get this message after reloading the page. “Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-statistics.9.4.1.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. G:/PleskVhosts/liveoakagency.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/

    Plugin install failed.”

However the wp-statistics folder was not created so that’s a false message.

update: well it did created the folder. I disconnected the connected to the ftp and saw the folder.

I just reloaded the plugins page and now it’s listed. Mark as resolved. Thank you Greg.
