    Hi!

You are right, Japanese is one important translation missing to Polylang. To my knowledge, nobody started working on it. I would be glad to add it if you could do it.

That’s easy to do. Download poedit (available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux). Rename the file polylang.pot found in the polylang/languages directory into polylang-ja.po. Open the file with poedit and start translating (keeping strange codes such as %s, %1$s as is). Once done, just save and you will get two files polylang-ja.po and polylang-ja.mo that you can send to me.

    Hi Chouby,

Thank you for your reply. I was enjoying four days of free time studying WordPress, but now I’m suddenly swamped.

I’m a freelance translator, and though I’m not an expert in any particular field, I have basic knowledge of a wide range of topics, and I know how to handle placeholders and variables.

I have started it and it’s very easy. I know where these strings appear and that helps.

It should be a one-day job, but I have two pending jobs and two incoming jobs (that’s why I have a little window of time now), and I really don’t know when I can complete. I appreciate your understanding.

    Eiko
