• I am in the process of building a new webpage and am getting stuck because my featured images are being cropped in the post pages. The width is fine, but the bottom is being cropped. I’ve read several other forum posts and have tried the ideas there with no luck.

Here’s an example post page: http://www.writingworkpodcast.com/renegotiating-intellectual-work/

The second line of text on the image is being cropped out.

    I have the Headway theme.

I’m not a code expert, so very specific instructions would be appreciated. I can add CSS through my Headway Editor and php through the plugin “Snippets.”

Thank you so much for any help you can offer.

  • Howdy,
From looking at your site, I’m betting the theme has a setting for “cropping thumbnail to exact size,” which would result in the behavior you’re seeing. In a normal WordPress theme, under Settings > Media, you would find such an option for the “thumbnail” size. By unchecking this box, the site would resize your image proportionally, without cropping anything out.

I would look for such a setting on your site.
If it’s anything more complex than that, I recommend getting support from the Headway folks, since it is a paid theme.

    Good luck!
