Support » Plugin: Integration: Yoast SEO & qTranslate-X » Cannot activate plugin on WP 4.2.2

  • After attempting to activate, I get a notice:

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

I can’t seem to find any errors in wp log, only:

“PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in […]\wp-includes\plugin.php on line 178”

    Plugins currently installed:
    ACF
    ACF: qTranslate
    qTranslate-x
    WordPress SEO

Any idea what could be causing this?

    Hi guys,
    I’m getting a similar problem.
Plugin installs fine, but activation takes a long time and results in a blank screen. Going back to the dashboard shows the plugin to be unactivated.

And here I was about to not post because I thought it was just me doing something stupid. Anyone find a solution?

I’m new to qtranslate-x (Version 3.4) so I’m not sure if I do this properly but I also get “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” for WordPress SEO & qTranslate-X (Version 1.0). Im using WordPress SEO Version 2.2.1 and WordPress version 4.2.2.

The problem seems to be with qtranslate X itself. In order to get it to work, deactivate qTranslate-X, then activate this plugin, then re-activate qTranslate-X again.

Thanks Adam, great tip – got all activated and working 🙂
Doesn’t seem to switch between the texts (specifically the snippet preview and the SEO title), but at least it’s only showing half of the strings

    Thanks again

PS: after some experimentation, it seems that if I manually add the SEO title, that part of the snippet preview is updated when I switch languages, but the meta description stays unchanged (a known issue)
