    Hi there,
    Just starting to use this over at a new forum I am creating, but I am struggling to get some of the basics worked out. So, I have a few questions…

    1) How can I allow existing users to use their WP User photo instead of the one assigned by this plugin?

    2) I also would like the login, password reset and registration to be available in my side-bar (at the moment, it seems hidden at the very bottom of the screen). How can I do this?
    note: If this is not possible, either how can I do this with shortcodes, (I just need login, logout, password reset and registration) or I have another plugin called “sidebar login”. The login part works, but not the account as it tries sending to the WP Profile. The redirect in there looks to be Profile | %admin_url%/profile.php, can I change this to point to the Ultimate Member Account?

    3) At the bottom of the screen, I always have both login and logout options? why both regardless of if I am logged in or not?

    4) I am testing a new registration, but it fails my email address as saying it is not valid. It is a standard yahoo.com email and is not registered to a current user? Any ideas?

    5) I have added a photo upload in the Registration form, but it asks for a meta tag. I am not sure what I should put here, so I just put user_photo (is this ok?)

    6) Finally, how do I add explanatory text to the registration form. I want to add some text explaining that only the user name will be shown, and that an email will be sent out etc…

    Hi,

    1. What is it doing at the moment?

    2. Is your sidebar conditional to whoever is viewing the sidebar? E.g different sidebar for logged in and logged out users?

    3. Sorry I will need to see a link for this to understand what you mean. You can signup to our forum on our site if you want to privately share the link.

    4. Again, will need to see this first hand.

    5. Yes you can use that meta if it is not already taken.

    6. You can use a content block field and add this to the registration form. This will allow you to add custom text.

    Hi, and thanks for replying!

    1) As soon as I activated Ultimate Member, any user photos previously uploaded disappeared. This included my main Admin account and the photo on my website: http://www.eyeondemand.com (It’s back, because I had to upload a new photo via Ultimate Member.

    2) Yes, it is conditional. (Sidebar Loader). There are settings with this plug-in where things can be changed though. Have a look if you like at http://www.eyeondemand.com/forums (For anyone else, this forum is not public yet, so tread carefully as there are potholes)

    1) UM uses get_avatar() it’s the native function for user avatar. You may need to turn on gravatars in plugin settings.

    Since you have e-mail issue too I would ask you to sign up to our forum and post link to your registration form so we can see this issue.

    Thanks again, have you just experienced an email issue? If so, that is a pity as I thought I just solved that.
