Only Allow Sign up from Members listed

    Hi there, First of all many thanks for an excellent plugin. Once I get comfortable with this plugin I plan on expanding with other plugins you offer.

    My question is can you allow people to sign up only if they are in the members database and if so, can you segregate allowable members in the members database.

    The use case is: Member 1 goes in to sign up to event A and they are allowed to sign up. Member 1 goes into event B and they are not allowed.

    Thanks again for an excellent plugin. Your work is great.

    Sorry, but my plugin does not have that kind of feature right now.

    You could kind of hack something together with the free Groups plugin here on WordPress.org, which you could use to restrict access to certain pages to certain user groups, and then put sign-up sheets for specific forms on those pages (using the shortcode arguments).

    You could also use my own groups extension for the sign-up sheets to organize and display sign-up sheets by groups (separate groups that you define, not related to the groups from the WordPress Groups plugin), and use that in conjunction with the above mentioned Groups plugin to show sign-up sheets for specific groups on specific pages that have restricted access.

    It’s not perfect, and sheet ids are passed by URL arguments, so if somebody wanted to manually manipulate a sheet id to view a different sheet, they could… but, the average user probably wouldn’t think of that.

    Also, note that my member directory plugin right now does not link the members to any specific users… it’s just a simple directory list and contact form, and at this time all members have to be manually entered by the admin.
