• I have been running the same wordpress site for a couple of years without problems, and have very little need to ever change anything. I have not installed any new plugs or changed anything dramatic on the site for a v ery long time. However, suddenly I’m getting very strange behaviour when browsing the blog on safari/ iphone.

From the site homepage if I click on any blog post, an iphone etc will try to open it up in the podcast app. If I deny the redirect to the podcast app I get an error on the page – “Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid”.

This only happens on safari – the site is fine on all other browsers. I don’t even have any sort of podcast feature on the site – never had, never even thought about it.

Anyone have any ideas why this might be?

I can confirm that I see this problem in Safari and IOS, but not Chrome.

For some reason, the URL gets changed from what is in the source to having a feed protocol appended to the front.

    For example the link, https://www.loylap.com/blog/category/loyalty-best-practice/
    gets changed to feed:https://www.loylap.com/blog/category/loyalty-best-practice/

This happens even if you copy the link and paste it into a new window.

If no new plugins have been installed or other changes on your end then I would suspect a server misconfiguration. You might check with your host and see what they can find.

You might try disabling your plugins to see if the problem is being caused by any of them.

Please report back what you find, this is an odd one.
