    Hi,
    I was inofrmed of this pluggin a couple of weeks ago and was eager to get it, use it and post my reviews publicly on my site.

    I use another service called ComCast which shows me all the reviews from round the world, and of course I can see on iTunes the ones from my region (Australia), however when I fetch the reviews with this plugin, it shows only ones from overseas, not my local ones.

    Is this a bug, or is this what is supposed to happen?

    If you could let me know that would be great.

    BTW, When I do fetch the reviews, it says there are 10, however it only displays 3.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for giving my plugin a try, and sorry to hear about the trouble.

    Sometimes the iTunes feeds for certain countries are unreachable. Unfortunately it’s not something I can control with the plugin. It seems to vary, sometimes it’s one country, sometimes it’s another. You can always click the button to do a manual check for new reviews, or you can wait for it to check in the background (approximately every 4 hours).

    Another possibility is that the processing is too much for your hosting to handle. Are you using shared hosting, by any chance?

    I’m not sure about the discrepancy with the number of reviews. Can you link to a screenshot, or better yet, put the shortcode on a testing page and post the link? Also, can you post your iTunes URL here so I can test it?

    That said here are a couple of screen shots, also, where would I find the short code to do what you suggest? Cheers

    Hi Andrew,

    It looks like I’ll have to dig into the code deeper and unfortunately I’m a bit busy with some work at the moment, so it might be a while before I can release a fix. It’s strange that it’s registering the correct count but the reviews aren’t appearing. So it’s probably not an issue with connecting to the feed, or your hosting.

    In the meantime, you can find your local reviews at https://itunes.apple.com/au/rss/customerreviews/id=993380724/xml. That’s the feed URL this plugin uses – it cycles through all the country codes, removes duplicates (not all of those on that page are necessarily from Australia), and reformats them.

    Sorry for the trouble! I’m definitely committed to improving this plugin and ironing out the bugs (especially because there’s a premium version in the works), unfortunately I’m tied up at the moment.

    Hi Andrew,

    Sorry for the late response. I just released a new version of the plugin (make sure you’re using version 3.2, because 3.1 has a major bug). There are some major performance improvements. The algorithm was heavily rewritten. Hopefully this fixes any issues you had.

    I’m also about to release the free beta for the premium version, Review Ranger, so I hope you check it out.
