• Is there a way to import the WordPress XML export file into MS Word, or rtf format? I have googled and searched the wordpress material and have not been able to figure it out.

    Thanks

Thanks Samboli. I tried this and I get a bunch of xml codes. I want an actual document so I can edit all my blogs into a big Word Document. Am I misunderstanding something? Your fix sounds so easy I hope I can figure it out.

Oh. Well then, in that case, samboll’s answer should have been “no”. You can’t do that.

The WordPress export format is a derivation of RSS. You can open it as a text document and get the text of whatever you have in it in there, but not in a nice prettified document format.

Thanks Otto42. It seems like it ought to be doable somehow. I’ve googled around to see if I could find a third party app to do it but so far I haven’t found anything. Do you have any suggestions?

Jerry did you find anything? I’m wanting to export my blog as well, because I want to put it publish it into book format.
