When i attempt to add a “New Event”, upon adding all the information for the event, I submit, but i get an error message and it starts me from the beginning

Are you getting any kind of error message related to being unable to post to SQL? Try deactivating and reactivating the plugin. If there is a database flaw, this should check and resolve.
