• I’m working with a child theme of Accesspress Mag, which is running with no problems.

Now I want to override the accesspress-functions.php file of the parent theme (the path to this file in the parent theme is “accespress-mag” > “inc” > “accesspress-functions.php.
In the child theme, I’m creating the same path (“accespress-mag-child” > “inc” > “accesspress-functions.php) and changing some of the lines of the accesspress-functions.php.
The problem is that the changes are not being applied. Is this the wrong way to make changes to these files in the child theme?

I’m far from an expert in wordpress or php, any suggestion or reference would be very appreciated!
