Hello. I am dissapointed from that you unhappy from the gallery. But, have you tried all the gallery types? There are 9 of them. Maybe some of them will be more suit to your footer. Also, there are many options to play with. Maybe you just need to set thumb width and height to right size and it will look right. Also, matbe some of your theme css interacts with the gallery and deform it.
