depending on how your menus are coded, you can either not include the page or exclude it.
what theme are you using?
how are you creating the menus?
Once logged in to the backend (/wp-admin/) of your site, go to Appearances > Menus > Menu Settings (per menu) and make sure “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu” is NOT checked. Then, just publish pages and make sure to exclude them from your Site Map, etc.*
*Hmm, but even the above won’t leave the pages completely invisible. Being that searches both within the site as well as outside the site could still find the pages. So, yeah, I’m with you, a plugin(s) solution is probably a good idea.
I will Google around a bit and see what I can find.
And then there is this rather dated (August 3, 2011) but hopefully very helpful guide to what I believe you’re trying to accomplish:

Thanks Randy I’ll check those in a bit when I get home. I also found a plugin — Exclude or include Pages, Tags, Posts & Categories (integrate with WiziApp) that is supposed to be compaitible up to 4.2.2. Don’t use Wiziapp so hoping that won’t be an issue.

I’m using Vantage Premium. Menu creation? Whatever is built in. I have no idea how to do anything further.
The reasoning behind hiding the pages is 1. We’re trying to cultivate a specific kind of customer so I don’t to attract coupon only kinds of customers and so don’t want it out there for just anybody. 2nd is tracking. See what marketing people are actually looking at.
Indeed. Both links I have pointed to above, especially the latter one, discuss these matters and more!
