I have been testing the Placester plugin for a client who wants to display one page of commercial properties for sale and another for residential properties for sale. Is that possible using standard shortcodes?

In addition this client wants to display recently sold listings? Can either of these tasks be done with the free version of Placester?

    Thanks!

    Hello dguruwu,

The free version of the Placester plugin is fully functional, and yes, you can create pages of featured listings using any of the search criteria available, including the ones you mention.

If you purchase a data subscription, you can import listings from your MLS. If not, you only have listings that you manually enter. After you register the plugin, you will have an account at Placester.com, and you can use the account dashboard there to enter, edit, and manage your listings.

One note about recently sold listings: most of the MLS’s we work with do not provide us with the ability to make sold listings available. So generally speaking, they must be entered manually as well even if you have a subscription.

You can contact support@placester.com for questions about data subscriptions.

That is awesome. I would like to get a handle on the Placester plugin because I am looking for a simple wordpress theme-independent solution for real estate listings. I would eventually like to target real estate businesses. Where can I find any docs on the current usage of the short code, or how I can tailor the output to only show properties of a certain class? If I can get someone to help guide me, I don’t mind writing up some better or newer docs for newbies like me if needed.

    Hi dguruwu,

The best help is that which is available on-screen in the plugin’s shortcode editors. And there are some tutorial blog posts and videos on our website. https://placester.com/developers/

We also provide technical support via email at support@placester.com.
