Plugin needed to control access to admin and available plugins

    Hi. i want a plugin that i can set admin access for a client so they can see only what i specify for them to see.
    So from a list of ALL the available plugins that would be available to an administrator, i can then select only what i want them to see.
    Does “admin-menu-editor” do this?

    I have tried “Advanced access menu” but it wont let me see give access to the “essential grids” plugin so the client cannot add images to their essential grids.

    Admin Menu Editor can do that, but only to a limited extent. It can only hide admin menu items – that is, the links in the vertical menu on the left site of the WP admin. It cannot hide dashboard widgets, sidebar widgets, post editor features, and so on. Also, you would need the Pro version to give a role access to items that were originally hidden.

    Hi, ok, cool – that sounds great.
    So the essential grids side menu in the admin displays the following:

    ESS. Grid
    – Ess grid
    – item skin editor
    – meta data handling
    – search settings
    – import/export

    So you are saying that after installing the plugin, i will be able to check or uncheck any of those items for a particular role?
    If i want to add a role called “Client” does Admin menu editor do this as well or do i need another plugin to do this?

    Yes, you could do that with the Pro version.

    No, you will need another plugin to add custom roles. There are a number of free role editing plugins available, like this one.
