Oh and another thing, I was expecting WordPress to insert paragraph tags when outputting the event description (just like it does for descriptions on normal posts and pages) but this has not occurred.
In the picture you can see that all the text is together instead of being arranged in 3 paragraphs (as it was entered).
I suspect I could insert paragraph tags manually in the ‘text’ view, but I can’t expect a non-techie user to have to do this every time (s)he enters an event description.
Is there a way to get WordPress to insert these tags?
Hey @juliepayne76,
It seems to me, based on the picture, that I could probably add a little bit of code above the ticket selection box that could resolve the overlap issue. I will make sure to get that added in the next version, probably later today.
The paragraph issue is a strange one though. The event description is actually the post_content (which is the text typed into the wysiwyg) and should be getting sent through the same filters as any normal post’s content before it is displayed; ergo, it should already be adding the appropriate paragraph tags. I will see if I can reproduce this on my dev. If I can, I will track down the problem and resolve it on our side. If I cannot, then there is a high probability that this is another nuance of your theme, which could require a specific fix in your theme settings. If we get to that point, I may request a link to your site be sent to our support email, but lets hold on that for now.

Sorry for the delayed response here @juliepayne76. For some reason this ticket got moved waaaay down my list on the support screen. In any event, both of these should have been resolved in 1.10.25, as I am sure you noticed. If you are still having issues, feel free to reopen this ticket, or start a new one.
