It is technically possible to use a MS SQL server but so is going to the moon. Yes, it technically could be done but no one expects that to actually happen anytime soon. 😉
Realistically, it’s not something that will work and you’ll waste many hours trying. The current version will not work with those old solutions and any plugin that calls the DB in a way that MS SQL does not like will fail.
Those 2 links are at a minimum 5 years old. If you wish to use WordPress please stick to the required MySQL database. You can install MySQL on a Windows server or PC easily enough.
