Where do I change the settings because WP logs me out too quickly

    WP keeps logging me out after a few minutes of inactivity.

    I want to change the DELAY before it logs me out, but I’ve been going through much of the forums and tech info (I’m no tech, mind you) and can’t find anything.

    Where is that function and how can I modify it so that I (not anyone else) decide what is the right amount of time after which to log me out?

    PS: The problem is that often, it doesn’t tell me I’m logged out until I try to save a post, and then it’s lost (Grrrr).
    PPS: No, I’m not using special plugins that would affect that.
