Special Galleries not working

    I’ve searched through the support forum, but the ‘newest’ thread I found was at least a year old.

    I’m having an issue getting any galleries to really work right on my client’s site.

    They are all coming out blocky and plain. The theme has shortcodes for galleries, none of which produce anything remotely like the Jetpack galleries…

    I would very much like to see a tiled mosaic gallery with carousel.

    Jetpack is installed, Tiled Galleries is activated, and Carousel is activated.

    So I think it’s a theme issue. I can’t get support from my theme developer because they believe it’s a plugin issue… *sigh*

    I do see in the threads where it could be a “Cleaner Gallery” functionality issue. How do I find out if that’s the cause? Is there a recent plugin I can use to turn it off??

    What happens when you use WordPress Core Galleries instead of the theme galleries? Do you experience similar issues?

    So I think it’s a theme issue.

    One way to confirm that would be to switch to one of the default themes like Twenty Fifteen for a few minutes. Do the problems disappear?

    If they do, we can confirm that it’s indeed a theme issue. We will then need to take a closer look at the theme to see what’s causing this.

    Thank you Jeremy.

    WP Core galleries all show up strangely with the offending theme, as well.

    However, the galleries work fine with a default theme active.

    Submitted more info via the contact form.
