• I am helping a number of companies that are all having the same problems when I put them under Google Developer Tools speedtest. It isn’t necessarily the hosting server unless it is for all hosting servers because these websites are on several different servers including Azure, GoDaddy, HostGator, and ZZhosting.

They are all coming up slow and showing problems with things like caching, render-blocking java script and CSS in above-the-fold content, and compression. These are all labeled in red as “Should Fix”

So I’ve tried to make these changes quickly using plugins as quick-fixes but that actually seems to slow the site down even more.

Then I also get the yellow prompt for “Consider Fixing” which is related to minifying CSS, JavaScript and HTML.

I want to know how to handle some of these things at the root because plugins don’t seem to work.

    All suggestions are appreciated.

Also, I apologize if there is another topic opened for this. I’m new to the forum and tried to find something similar but couldn’t
