I’ll try.
I have set up a contact form in contact form 7. It is automatically set up so that when a person presses the “Submit” button, and email is sent to the designated email address. This is fine but what I’d really like it to do is when I press “Submit”, it would like the content of the form sent into a database and a thank you page to appear – so I want two things. I’ve got it so a Thank you page appears but the content of the form is not going into a MYSQL data table. That is what I would like it to do.
Does that help?
RE: would like the content of the form sent into a database
Consider using a submission storage plugin like Contact Form DB or Contact Form 7 Storage to save all your CF7 form submits to the WP database. These are often used by experienced WP users – they provide a robust record of all form submissions even when things go a little wrong.
Many people also use Flamingo – another plugin by Takayuki Miyoshi.
I am using Contact Form DB and it is fabulous. I even had to work out a quite complicated submission form and the developer helped me very fast and reliable.
Just a note walking by 🙂
