I don’t think that it is possible to get the selected tab using php.
Can you can give some details about what you want to achieve with this?

I have to export data to several output types (csv, excel, etc) according to the customer choice.
So I decided to use Tabs in order to separate each output process. And of course I want to know which tab was selected by the customer to execute the right process.
I hope that it was clear enough for you.

There isn’t enough detail in your post above to be able to give any meaningful suggestions. You will probably need to hire a developer and discuss this in detail with them so they can build a custom plugin to fit your requirements.
