How to add a picture to blog

Whenever I copy and paste my blog’s URL to my social media, my blog’s name appears but no picture. Can someone tell me how would I add/change this so that a default pic would appear every time I copy and paste the URL in my social media, such as Facebook and Google+? I am not a coder and my theme offers no support.
