• Hi there,

I want to display posts from a custom post type using taxonomies on a page, if that makes sense.

Like in this page, the artist page has couple of blocks with different content. http://tinyurl.com/7e6nqox

Would be nice to be able to select it upon creating an artist page, rather than using shortcodes.

Can someone please help me figure this out?
    Thank you in advance!

  • If you taxonomies never change and all follow the same format, you may just be able to make a single page template with some logic and code the template to pull in your posts by taxonomy.

All you would them have to do once the template is in place, would be to select the taxonomy in while creating the pages/post.

I use a custom taxonomy called “artists”
So far I’ve used this taxonomy on two different post types called “Interviews” and “Reviews”.

I think that just grabbing posts from a taxonomy will display all post types or whatever is linked to it. They must be able to be distinguished.

I’m not much of a coder, could you give me an example or maybe a tutorial on how to do this?
