Hi Tara,
I’m trying to use FileZilla to FTP to my site but i can’t even do that. I get this error while trying to connect:
Command: PWD
Response: 257 “/” is your current location
Command: TYPE I
Response: 200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary
Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (69,89,31,111,193,170)
Command: MLSD
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
I created several FTP accounts on my hosting provider (bluehost) and each one i tried to connect through FTP, i get the same error and i can’t view the contents of my site.

you need to discuss with your hosting provider the problem you are having with using FTP

Thanks i got in to FTP and now i’m getting this:
Response: 250 OK. Current directory is /public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins
Command: DELE hello.php
Response: 550 Could not delete hello.php: Permission denied
From the Bluehost cPanel i try to delete the plugin and i get:
Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) hello.php.
Do Check your directory permission using FTP, and ask hosting provider if you can not able to change the permissions.
