Half my blog is gone, help!

    I was trying to write a post and noticed that every time I saved it, it reverted to an old version of that post, it would never save the current one. I went back to my list of draft posts and saw that it had completely disappeared.

    Then I went to my blog, and the post that now appears on top is from last September! Where did everything since then go? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated – thank you!

    OK, it is all really gone. If I click on the archives for January 2009 it gives me a 404 error.

    I can’t publish anything new either. The draft just saves, but won’t publish. Help please!!

    likely one of your database tables has crashed
    run a repair in phpmyadmin or ask your host to do it

    I am currently having this issue as well, all my recent post are not show up, I finally got someone in chat but they can tell what the issue is at the moment.

    I have been browsing around the forum and found a suggestion for someone with a similar problem to check permalinks: make sure day and time was checked (mine still was), and then click update settings. After I clicked update settings I went back to my blog and a few more posts had reappeared – the top post is now mid-October. Does anyone have any ideas? I am afraid to install a back-up if not necessary, plus that might not solve the underlying problem. Thank you!

    Samboll – thank you so much! I fiddled about in phpmyadmin and managed to figure out how to repair the wp_posts table and that did it! My blog is back! I appreciate the help and will mark this one resolved. Good luck Rasy2kG!
